Martin Capital Advisors, LLP is a registered investment advisor that specializes in managing investment portfolios for long-term growth, income and capital appreciation.  We manage portfolios for individuals, trusts and pension plans.   Several types of investment portfolios are available with a minimum investment of $250,000. 

Portfolio manager Paul Martin is a retired U.S. Naval Reserve commander whose investment performance has consistently ranked him within the top echelon of equity managers.  Our top priority is to obtain superior returns for our clients.  While reviewing the investment results below, investors should be aware that past performance is no guarantee of portfolio gains in the future.

The graphs above follow the historical growth of $10,000 invested at the beginning of 1991 in the Martin Capital Advisors Flexible Portfolio (blue line); in the Nasdaq Composite (green line); and in the S&P 500 (red line).   By September 30, 2007, $10,000 invested in the average MCA Flexible Portfolio had grown to $85,182, a similar investment in the NASDAQ composite index had grown to $72,282, while a similar investment in  the S&P 500 had grown to $64,906. The NASDAQ Composite growth index does not include reinvestment of dividends due to insufficient data being available for the period.

  • Past performance cited does not guarantee investment gains in the future.

  • These figures include the reinvestment of all dividends received and reflect cash and cash equivalents.

  • The Martin Capital Flexible Portfolios tend to be more volatile than the S&P 500. From time to time, portfolio performance may reflect the use of  margin investing as well as material investments in bonds or cash. The manager will utilize stocks, bonds, and cash in an attempt to enhance returns.

  • The Martin Capital Flexible Portfolios contain primarily equity investments that are managed with a view toward capital appreciation.

  • The Flexible Portfolio average cited above represented 34 individual portfolios and 39.5% of all funds under management by Martin Capital Advisors, LLP on 12/31/07. Clients explicitly elect this management style on their personal data form.
